(This interview has been edited for clarity and length.)

Q: How old are you?
A: I am 21 years old.

Q: What school are you currently attending?
A: I attend King’s College.

Q: When do you graduate?
A: May 2027.

Q: What is your major?
A: Accounting and Finance.

Q: How did you decide on those two majors?
A: I came in as a Finance major, but after taking a few classes with professors in the Accounting department, I really enjoyed it and decided to add Accounting as a second major.

Q: Do you participate in any school activities or clubs?
A: I do. I am on the football team, a member of Cantores Christi Regis (the university choir), and I’m also involved in campus ministry and the school theater program.

Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: Most of my time is taken up by school and activities, but I enjoy exercising, spending time with friends, and trying new coffee shops.

Q: What golf club do you caddie at?
A: Stonewall Links.

Q: How long have you been caddying there?
A: I have been caddying there for about two years.

Q: How did you get into caddying at the club?
A: I was recommended to the Caddie Master by an older friend of mine. I got an interview, and we hit it off from there.

Q: What is your favorite thing about caddying?
A: Definitely all the new people I meet and the fact that every day is different.

Q: How did you hear about the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship?
A: I first heard about it through my Caddie Master, Jerry Cashman, and from other caddies in the caddie shack who had great things to say about the program.

Q: What are your long-term goals? (5–10 years)
A: In the next 5 to 10 years, I hope to complete my MBA and become both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner, with a stable career in the industry. Outside of work, I hope to be starting a family of my own.

Q: What is something that happened to you while working at your club that you will never forget?
A: Something I will never forget from my time at Stonewall Links is carrying three bags during a late afternoon round after already completing a long morning loop. I will also always remember the friendships I made in the caddie shack and the amazing members and guests I met along the way.

Q: What advice would you give your younger self?
A: I would tell my younger self, aside from applying for a caddie position at Stonewall Links sooner, that success is the result of hard work and to start learning from my elders earlier—listening to their experiences and applying those lessons to my own life.

Q: How has J. Wood Platt changed your life?
A: J. Wood Platt has changed my life by connecting me to a lifelong community of mentors and friends. It has also inspired me to one day give back and support a future caddie or golf operations employee, just as others have done for me.
