On July 28, the 2026 EMPOWER Scholar Leadership Summit brought together more than 130 Platt Scholars and Friends of the Trust for a day of learning, connection, and inspiration. Throughout the day, Scholars participated in interactive discussions and engaging activities designed to strengthen their leadership skills and prepare them for success both on and off the course.
Former collegiate and professional basketball player and Weightless Clothing founder Hollie Mershon shared her journey, lessons in leadership, and insights on building a career and business with purpose. The summit concluded with an inspiring conversation led by former caddie and retired President & CEO of Subaru of America, Tom Doll, who reflected on leadership, career success, and the lasting value of relationships and mentorship.
