2026 New Platt Scholar Inductions

By June 1, 2026No Comments

The J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust recently welcomed its newest class of Scholars during a series of 2026 New Scholar Induction events held across the region.

This year, we welcomed 77 new Scholars, bringing the 2026-27 scholarship class to a total of 226 Scholars.

Induction events were hosted at Huntingdon Valley Country Club, Chester Valley Golf Club, Saucon Valley Country Club, and Rolling Green Golf Club. Across all four evenings, more than 250 parents, Scholars, supporters, and Friends of the Trust joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone.

Throughout the events, Scholars and families heard from J. Wood Platt leadership and staff about the opportunities and responsibilities that come with being a Platt Scholar. Chairman Jeffrey Mitzak, COO Tina Gregor, and Vice Chair Buddy Mitzak each shared remarks during the induction series, welcoming the newest Scholars into the Platt community.

Director of Scholar and Alumni Engagement Kevin Ryan introduced Scholars to the EMPOWER Program and the many opportunities available beyond the scholarship itself, while Director of Education Andrew Downs spoke about academic expectations and the responsibilities of being a Platt Scholar.

We are grateful to all of the GAP Member Clubs that hosted these special evenings, as well as the parents, Scholars, and Friends of the Trust who attended and helped make the events such a success.

We look forward to supporting and celebrating our newest class of Scholars in the years ahead.
