On December 16, 2023, 190 people from the JWP Community gathered at Philadelphia Country Club to celebrate the holiday season at the 2023 J. Wood Platt Brunch.
The day started with greetings from Jeffrey Mitzak, the Trust’s Secretary, followed by a welcome from Chairwoman Tina Gregor. During this time, Tina Gregor recognized two Trustees who are stepping down from the board, Tom Spano and Bill Jeremiah. The program proceeded with insights from Lindsay Myers, the Director of Scholar and Alumni Engagement, who presented the Golden Bib Award to Braydon Rosa and honored Garret Schleeper with the EMPOWER Leadership Award. Mark Peterson, the Executive Director, then addressed the audience regarding the Francis C. Poore Caddie of the Year award and introduced Fred Heller from Rolling Green Golf Club. Fred Heller presented Andrew Christenson with the prestigious Francis C. Poore Caddie of the Year award. The brunch also included Alumni Billy Reube, Alumni Board President Alex McFerson, and Director of Education Andrew Downs.
